What is a double layer of underlayment?
A double layer of underlayment is two layers of underlayment applied one on top of each other on top of a roof. Contractors generally only use one layer on most roofs. Roofs with a slope of a small angle may require two layers to bring the shingles up and away from the surface of the roof.
